Received his diploma degree in engineering-informatics in 2006 from the University Lüneburg working on efficient embedded network protocol stacks and a master’s degree in computer science in 2009 from the Leibniz University Hannover researching misbehaviour detection for resilient Ad-Hoc networks. In 2015 he received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from TU Braunschweig working on Delay Tolerant Networking systems for smart city and smart farming applications. Since 2015 he works in the corporate research and advance engineering division at Robert Bosch GmbH.

Before this he was an Open Source Architect at Talend working on several Apache project around Integrations. He was the responsible architect for the Services Oriented Architecture of EnBW Trading GmbH (Trading floor of one of Germany’s largest utility companies). He specializes in OSGi and practical integration solutions.
Miro Spönemann

Miro is a committer and project lead for several Eclipse projects and co-leads TypeFox, a company specializing in engineering tools and open source technology. He started to get involved in open source development while researching graph layout algorithms and their application to graphical modeling at Kiel University. Miro has been contributing to the Eclipse community by kickstarting new projects, giving presentations at several events, and supporting the transfer of the Open VSX Registry to the Eclipse Foundation. Innovation, strategy and community work are at the heart of his interest.

I've studied computer science at Universty of Würzburg. In 1999 I started to work as a Softwaredeveloper at Siemens AG "Information and Communication Networks" in Bad Hersfeld. In 2003 I became a scientific employee at University of Kassel and worked in the erea of graphical real-time animation and virtual reality, receiving a doctorate in 2007. Since 2007 I'm working for the SMA Solar Technology AG in different positions (Softwaredeveloper, Project-Lead, Manager, Lead-Architect).
