Eclipse 4 RCP overview
Writing a complex desktop application is a difficult and time-consuming process. This effort can be significantly reduced by using a powerful, mature and reliable framework, like Eclipse RCP.
We will start the talk with a quick overview of features and components that have been provided by Eclipse RCP for years.
Then, we will focus on new features introduced with Eclipse 4, including: application model and UI structure, model fragments, processors and add-ons, model renderers, CSS styling, dependency injection, annotation system, event model and available services.
At the end I will present the plans of further Eclipse 4 RCP development.
